ABWA was founded in 1949 - long before it was fashionable for women to unite for their own advancement.
The Lake Lanier Charter Chapter is part of a national network of business women that emphasizes and encourages the development of personal skills, leadership qualities, and educational opportunities necessary for a successful career.
Established in 1985, the Lake Lanier Charter Chapter is a significant part of the community. Members have a wide range of backgrounds - from young women just beginning their careers to business owners. Interaction with other members and community involvement enables members to progress in their own careers.
Monthly chapter meetings provide a setting in which members can develop self-confidence, sharpen business skills, and build lasting friendships.
Membership in the American Business Women's Association challenges progressive business women to bring their substantial influence to bear on the future of American Business.
ABWA-LLCC holds fund raisers during each year to help others realize their own potential by awarding annual post-secondary Education Awards to area students. The purchase of an HCard will provide additional funds for our Educational Awards.
In gratitude,
The Lake Lanier Charter Chapter of ABWA
